FHW CHINA 2016 Successfully Concluded

FHW CHINA 2016, organized by Fiera Milano S.p.A and the Chinese joint venture company Worldex Fiera Milano Exhibitions Co., Ltd, co-organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangdong Committee and Guangdong(China) Imported Food Association, has been successfully held in Guangzhou at China Import & Export Fair Complex on September 22-24, 2016. The fair organizer and its partners hereby extend the most sincere thanks to all the exhibitors, visitors, supporters and media operators. 




With exhibition area of 10,000 square meters, the three-day fair attracted 10,000 professional buyers and 19,500 visitors, registering an increase of 20% comparing with the last edition. About 200 companies from more than a dozen of countries such as Italy, Poland, Thailand, South Korea, Netherlands, Argentina, Germany, Australia, Canada and China, participated in the fair, bringing along over 10 brilliant activities and thousands of excellent exhibits which cover high-end ingredients, leisure food, coffee, tea, pastry, ice cream and wine. Attractive food tasting events have been hold as well as top level trade food development forums. The attendees of such events included experts of food & beverage leisure, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, bars, clubs, and e-commerce industry, as well as food agents, guests from associations, and local & international trade delegations.



Professional—2016 Imported Food Development Forum

2016 Imported Food Development Forum was the first big industrial one held by Guangdong Imported Food Association after the establishment of the association. Two-day event focused on three aspects: development trend, government policy, and circulation channels and over 10 topics covering the whole imported food industry chain were discussed.



In the afternoon of September 22nd, “Imported Food Supply Chain and Marketing in New Environment”, the first sub-forum of 2016 Imported Food Forum, was held at FHW CHINA 2016 forum area. Mr. Wolfgang Qi, President of Guangdong Imported Food Association, delivered an opening speech. Then, Mr. Du Xu, vice general manager of Guangdong Foodstuff Import & Export (Group) Corporation, gave a talk on “Unclog Imported Food Industry Upstream and Down Stream – Imported Food Supply Chain Intergration”.


In the morning of September 23rd, the second sub-forum of Forum took place. Officers and experts from National Commodity Inspection, Customs Services, place of origin certification authority and leading international logistic companies explained how to realize “quick and accurate” custom clearance through case example illustration.


The afternoon of September 23rd saw the opening of “Tax Reform Semi-Annual Assessment and Cross-border New Breakthrough”. The forum was co-organized by Guangdong Cross-Border E-Commerce Association.  Leading experts and professionals of the industry were invited to share their opinions and experience on key subjects like tax reform, cross-border e-purchase and products operation.


Each sub-forum has received a great attention from the audience and all the participants of the industry were glad to got known important information. Concentration——Trade Negotiation, Promotion and Cooperation

A multi-industry alliance, consisting of Poland Butchers’ Association, Poland National Fruit and Vegetable Manufacturers’ Association, Poland Beef Feeders and Manufacturers’ Association, and Poland Orchardists’ Association, participated for the first time at FHW CHINA aiming at promoting the “European Flavor – Tradition and Quality” program. Most of famous Polish agriculture products like milk, chicken and apple to China were promoted finding rooms of further cooperation opportunities for the future.



A Polish food promotion event called “Polish Flavor-Polish Food Culture” was held at FHW CHINA 2016 activity area. The Consul General of Poland in Guangzhou Ms. Joanna Karmasz, the Polish food bestseller writer Ms. Magdalena and Polish Association Presidents introduced Polish food culture to the audience. Together with chefs, they also made and invited present audiences to taste Polish apple cake and Polish fruit juice.


 


In the morning of the first show-day the press conference of the Italy National Pavilion took place. It has been organized by Italy Trade Association (ITA) and Fiera Milan S.p.A. The chief representative of ITA in Guangzhou Mr Paolo Quattrocchi, and the Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou Ms. Laura Egoli made the opening speech, welcoming the media representatives. They expressed their optimistic visions about the prospect of Italian food in China market and hoped to work with the Italian SMEs to bring more high quality Italian food and lifestyles to the Chinese consumers.


Beside the several food tastings and product promotions, FHW CHINA also arranged VIB (Very Important Buyer) Business Matching Program between exhibitors from Thailand, South Korea, Netherlands, Peru, Uganda, Mexico, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, etc., and domestic imported food agents, importers and distributors, providing an important platform of exchange and cooperation for suppliers and purchasers. 

Share——International Food Making and Tasting

Along with Chinese improved living standards, the interest for delicious food knowledge faces no limits. And thus the best way to promote a country is through its own special food culture.



Indeed the participating countries were very active in organizing on-site cooking and food tasting activities, such as “Thai Kitchen, Thai Taste”, “Polish Flavor, Polish Food Culture”, “New South Wales Cake and Electric Cooker Baking”, and “Italy, Exotic Flavor”. The exhibits were very rich and diversified, including Argentine frozen beef, Polish poultry meat, Italian meat, German sausage and beer, Canadian ice-wine and blueberry, Holland beer, New Zealander cheese, Australian baked products, fresh food, dairy products, honey, ketchup, fruit jam, condiment, leisure food and other special food and beverage. It is expected that the fair can be an excellent platform for introducing delicious food from all over the world so as to add more color and flavor to the dining table of the Chinese people.

Fun——Youth in Coffee Tasting, Coffee Culture Festival


At the first FHW CHINA Coffee Area, high-end “China Coffee Economy Development Forum” as well as fresh “Youth in Coffee Tasting, Coffee Making Contest” were arranged to present fun, relaxed and unique coffee experience to the present coffee lovers and audience. 


China Coffee Economy Development Forum was held successfully at the Activity Area of FHW CHINA in the afternoon of September 23rd. The guests included the Sino-Uganda Joint Venture Crane Coffee representative Ms. Rebekka, the coffee lecturer of Taiwan University of Technology Mr. Dai Zhenming, the General Counsel of Taiwan Business Mode Research Center Mr. Chen Jianqi, the General Manager of Hong Kong Huasheng Coffee Mr. Zhong Darong, the General Manager of Jisi Coffee Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd. Ms. Wang Lingye, and the President of Aidaili Coffee Business School Ms. Li Bingbing. The discussion was centered on the hot topics such as the development trend of coffee industry in China and the trans-field operation led by coffee culture and coffee age 4.0.
 
Since establishment in 2012 FHW CHINA has been organized aiming at building the most professional imported food fair in South China and providing an international trade platform for oversea food producers and domestic imported food traders and distributors. FHW CHINA is also a platform for selection of key enterprises in food industry and who would participate in TUTTOFOOD in Milan, Italy, supporting Chinese food companies to expand the international market.
